The Legend of Legends of Et cetera, etc.
Once upon a time—but obviously not too long ago—the Legends were born. They are: Serena Miller on guitar, vocals, and sax; Graham vonBriesen on bass and backing vocals; Jakob Coburn on drums; and Mack Watson on keys.
Serena and Mack, best friends since age three, started their first band, the Oxi-morons, in middle school, with Serena's cousin Graham. They played neighborhood festivals and talent shows with three other band members. A few years later, Serena covered Young the Giant's song "Cough Syrup" and posted it online. Fellow School of Rock student Jakob heard the song and messaged her about adding drums. She and Jake formed Riot!, a two-piece cover band, and later added Graham and Mack to form Legends.
From 2014 to 2015, they wrote at least 16 original songs, but they still whip out a few covers when the urge hits or the venue calls for it. Their first album, Coyote, was released on November 11th. (Click the Store tab to order.) You can hear the title track regularly on Baltimore station 89.7 WTMD, which was the first radio station to play their first release, "Give Up the Ghost."
The band is currently at work on a couple of videos and a lot of new songs.
